I posted two responses to the news article titled: "Start-stop technology scheduled for the 2014 Chevy Malibu" then when I tried to post a 3rd response it didn't show up, even after a browser reset and complete page reload. I tried posting the 3rd response again and it still didn't show up.

I then tested by posting something in JFF forum and it worked normally. The first two response posts I made to the news article were time stamped:

Jul 11, 2013 6:30:34 PM
Jul 11, 2013 6:54:13 PM

I also noticed that the time stamps for my response posts to the news article were ahead by 2 hours, which is a known problem.

It usually gives me points for up to 5 forum responses per day.

Update:

The day after I encountered this potential error I went back intent on testing something but I can no longer go back far enough to find my own posts. Therefore I don't know if my 'missing' posts eventually made it.

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem.

I think this should be locked. If it happens again and I can get any details I will just start a new topic.

bytebug,
I did a complete reset at the time it occurred and that didn't change anything. I usually have other computers I can test with for comparison but not this time.

jrsva,
The time stamp problem is intermittent. My posts had been stamped with eastern time and I mentioned it in case it might have bearing on the problem.

The time stamps intermittently reverting to eastern time has been discussed several times in the past, usually in the context of someone gaining points for posting but the points are added to the following day's total because the post was made close to midnight, and is time stamped as if it happened the following day. In all those cases it was determined that, due to some unknown glitch, posts are sometimes stamped with eastern (EST or EDT) time.

I suggest that you log off and clear your cookies. I just posted three responses without difficulty.

No such limit is evident to me. I often have a lot to say when the subject of ethanol contaminated fuel comes up. I posted three responses to one news article on E15 just this evening. I often see five or more responses to one news article by Aviator Rob.

I have not observed the time problem you mention either.
