Going through the list of gas card winners I've noticed that no one from Alaska has won. I've entered a few times and am wondering if people in Hawaii can win why not someone from Alaska? Is it worth my while to keep entering?

Perhaps moderators can close this topic, as the original issue seems to have been answered.

Closing the topic will preclude further comments expressing hope that the poster will win...., etc., and keep this topic as a continuing "current value" topic, at the top of the topic list.

Just a suggestion.

Each ticket has an equal chance of being selected, regardless of location. More winners tend to be in larger, more populated areas, since there are more people entering the draw from there.

However, entering the draw from a highly populated area does not increase your chances. It's a random draw.

Good luck in the draw, and in your search for low-priced fuel.

Is it worth your while? Why wouldn't it be. It is free!

Look at it this way: Chances are there are fewer (if any) Powerball or MegaMillion lottery winners, let alone compared to winners in Florida, Texas, Ohio, California, New York, etc., all states with larger populations than Alaska and Hawaii, all states that would, logically, have more lottery tickets purchased than Alaska and Hawaii.

Is it worth your while to keep entering? I don't know, and I don't think anyone here can answer your question other than saying what's already been said; you have the same chance of winning as anyone else who's "buying" tickets for the drawing; the more tickets you "buy", the better your chances are, but then you don't know how many others are maximizing their ticket buying for that particular drawing. But, if you don't keep entering, you don't have any chance of winning, regardless of where you're from.

Yes. You have the exact same chance as anyone else.

Hawaii has a larger population and more members with over 35K points. All things being equal, one should expect more winners from Hawaii than Alaska.

Nothing indicates that people from Alaska have any less of a chance to win than people from anywhere else. However, when you come from a state with such a small population, you shouldn't simply expect to win or have people from your state win as often as say California.
