I have Gasbuddy in my iPod. The App is crashing since my last App update always after I submit a gas price. Most of the time it takes the submission but some other times I have to re-enter again the gas price.

The solution I am taking now is just starting all over again and again.

How to troubleshoot this problem?

As for the distance restrictions that GB has inserted into the newest version of the app: I understand the need to restrict those users that continue to post, accuracy be darned, because they want the points. But, the wait time, I am not certain that punishing all - and making the app seem bad is worth the restrictions. --- GB would be better served to restrict what prices can be posted via the master station list and which types of fuel are available. If there is no diesel available there should be no way to post diesel at that station.

Don't try any troublshooting until you have reloaded the app. Things can get corrupted and then behavior can no longer be expected to be as expected.

After reading bullworth, I must admit that I do insert gas price once I stop completely. I do write down gas stations and price I am able to see in a piece of paper. It is faster for me than trying to insert the prices in my blackberry phone. Also moving from station to station on my phone is quite slow. I guess I am going to insert them from my computer instead. I will pay attention to the gas station distances when it crashes or close on me.

It has only happened a couple times on my Android. Honestly, I thought it nothing more than a little quirk in the system rather than a crash.

I recently submitted this same concern to GB. The response that I received was that the newest app restricts postings to within 1 mile of your GPS location. In spite of the fact that many of us will drive quite some distance before it is safe to post. This restriction, according to GB, will prevent members from sitting and just entering prices.

This has been a persistent, but not consistent, problem for the iPhone since the last app upgrade. After posting a price and hitting the "submit" link, the program takes you out of the app, and you don't know if the price post was or was not accepted. to post additional prices, you have to re-open the app.

While this happens very frequently, it doesn't happen after every "submit".
