I was wondering what the behavior of the 4 mobile apps allowed for reporting prices when a station is closed temporarily? A Circle K just reopened their pumps and since I had marked the station as closed temporarily the android app did not show the station so I could not report prices.

-Android
-iOS
-Blackberry
-Windows Phone
-Touch enabled mobile website (not actually an app)

I have now used the full website to re-open the station, and the station is now showing (no price reports yet) up on the Window Phone app. I don't have access to an iOS or Blackberry device to test.

Also do any of these apps allow re-opening a station, or just like zeroing out prices can this only be done from the full website (until/if the apps allow this feature)?

Oddly enough, I ran into the same situation today, and would like to point out a problem.

In the mobile apps, a station that's marked as temporarily closed simply doesn't appear. You can't see its price, update its price, or even see that it exists.

On the main site, a station that's marked as temporarily closed is no different than a station that's marked as open. You can see its price, update its price, etc., with no indication whatsoever that it's supposedly closed. The only place it shows as temporarily closed is in the MSL.

Like aladdin, I just re-opened a station that I had previously marked as temporarily closed. I only realized it was still marked as temporarily closed, four months or so later, because this is the first time since then that I've tried to post a price for it from my phone. I've posted its price from my computer a bunch of times since then and hadn't realized that neither I nor anyone else had marked it open when it re-opened.

I think it's asking too much for the mobile apps to have some way of handling this; they're supposed to be small and simple. But perhaps there should be something on the full site that reminds you that the station for which you're posting a price is supposedly closed. That might do two beneficial things: prompt you to mark it as re-opened, and discourage people from posting bogus prices for stations that actually *are* closed (and, at least here on the Toronto site, this happens a fair bit). There are lots of possible ways of doing this, such as a visual difference to how the station appears in your favourites list or a dialog box.

P.S. are you *ever* going to fix the incorrect text that pops up when re-opening a TEMPORARILY closed station, in which it says the station was DELETED by another member? That bug's been there for years, and really, just changing the text so it accurately reflects the situation shouldn't be a big deal.

The apps don't allow reopening stations or zeroing out prices. THat can only be done from the full site.
