Five things that will get a topic closed. I see how some of the topics are very boring. I wanted to say that if I have posted something that was posted & closed before, I might not know that since I see that on the categories there are at lease 11 tabs each.

Ahead of time, I'm sorry if I have posted something that was previously closed.

Also, moderator I wanted to thank you for your time in reading every post, all these years. That's the time to get a beer & stay at your PC post for your daily story time.

Is there a person that checks the comments? Some of the comments are quite lengthy. I don't even read the long ones. Thanks to you also.

I really like this website. I've really enjoyed the many categories of topics. I plan on continuing & have some fun.

Scoutmaster: Perhaps that link can be added to the Tabs on this site. Granted it is not perfect but it would help.

Disclaimer - the link CampKohler has in his last post is not an official list endorsed by Gas Buddy. It is solely a work put together by CampKohler.

You can search the forums. Try this. It's not perfect but it's better than nothing.

Reading between the lines, it seems you are trying to say that you may not have intended to open a new topic if a topic on the same subject was previously closed (locked) and that, because of the numerous pages in some topics, it was too laborious to check them all for repeated topics. I wouldn't worry about it.

If you are referring to the Suggest a GasBuddy Improvement category, there is a Suggestion Tracking List that attempts to index all suggestions, however, for all the other categories, there is no such index and no way to search them thoroughly (although the addition of such a search is one of the top requests).

The typical way of dealing with a searchless forum is to simply forge ahead and post a new topic. As there are other reasons for locking a topic than simply "we just don't want to hear any more on this subject," I wouldn't put off expressing an opinion on the same subject at a later date. Another benefit of not worrying about the past is two-fold: 1) new members come along and they might have new opinions that should be aired for which a new topic acts as an invitation, and 2) by resurrecting older subjects later, it makes it clear to management what is important to the users.

To sum up, I don't think you have anything to apologize for. But thanks for thinking of our feelings.

Coco0828,

Thanks for your message.

There is more than one moderator that browses the forums every day, I'm sure if it was just one person it would be very hard to keep up with the daily happenings in the GB community.

We do get accustomed to reading rather lengthy forum message responses and feedback/support emails, these can either be very beneficial and informative or they can be the exact opposite - which is why they're browsed and read. Sometimes creating a response is the hard part.

"That's the time to get a beer & stay at your PC post for your daily story time."

Usually there's only a selection of water, coffee or soda, but some days a beer at the work station would be nice!

Your enthusiasm is appreciated.
