How do I add a station? Every time I try it says I have to be a registered member.

Chuckles63: Are you sure the station is in need of being added? As opposed to, say, it not showing up on the price list because nobody has spotted it recently?

There are two basic answers to adding a station.

First, gas prices (and the stations for which there are prices currently posted) are removed on a predetermined basis, generally 12, 24, 36, 48, etc. hours after the price was posted (or a price was updated). You can simple complete the Report Gas Prices section on the home screen. Your price posting will remain for the predetermined number of hours for your Gas Buddy site.

Second, you can, once you reach "senior" status (i.e., either 10,000 points, which can be achieved in as little as a week and a half, or have a car icon), add stations to the Master Station List, which provides more station information than the simple home page Report Gas Prices section. You, in essence, are helping add to the Gas Buddy data base of stations for use by all members.

You should, and it's only a suggestion, review the Frequently Asked Questions (aka FAQ) section to learn the basics of this website. That section answers many of the questions new members have, and may preclude your starting new topics asking questions that either have information already provided, or have been asked multiple by members starting new topics rather than taking time to read the Help section, the FAQ section, etc. (This is not critical of you but rather noting that many members don't take the time to learn about aspects of this (or other) website(s).

I'm sure your fellow Texas Gas Buddy members look forward to your posting gas prices to help them be more knowledgeable shoppers, just as their price posting will help you be more informed when deciding where to shop for fuel.

Is there really any point to have a FAQ if people are too lazy to check it?

You have to have 10K points to add a station or otherwise alter the Master Station List.

You need to earn 10,000 points to do anything in the MSL. I suggest you post the station info in your local forum and ask someone to add it to the MSL.
