I contacted support through the link @BB app world 12/13 &explained the situation & told them I have a Curve 9330, but never got a response. So, today I've spent a considerable amount of time trying to find out if the issue has been resolved or not, & another thread in this forum is the 1st reference to the problem I've seen anywhere. Quite disappointed to see that it's been over a month since help was requested for this problem &that there was no resolution (or even any comment at all), yet the thread was locked.

Therefore I am here asking the obvious question, "is there a fix yet or will there soon be? And, if there is no work-around at all, can you at least offer a way of removing the latest upgrade &allow those of us experiencing the problem to roll back to where we were before we upgraded? From what I read, even deleting & reinstalling fails to work, so what do we do?

Based on the @BB app world I'm guessing the OP contacted the market where he downloaded the app.

I looked in the Blackberry category and only found one comment about the Curve and that was back in 10/2012 and the comment was "I have a Curve and the app works great." so I have no idea where you are seeing this problem you are having being referenced OuachitaRivrRat.

Who's or what support did you contact?
What was the "situation" that you explained (other than the upgrade "crashes app".

Does the app open and crashes sometime later? Does the app even open?
How long has this problem been on-going?
Have you ever been able to perform any Gas Buddy activities, posting prices, reading news articles, etc?
Have you tried deleteing the app and reinstalling it?

What, for better understanding, were you doing to find out if the issue was solved? The simple way seems to be to try to start the program, try posting some gas prices or other traditional Gas Buddy activities, and see if the program crashes before you can perform posts, while you're performing posts, or after posting, etc. If the the app "crashes" - or does not crash - you've got your answer without spending a considerable amount of time.

Which thread was it? And was the thread closed because the responses answered the question or resolved the problem?

Just trying to get a better understanding of what the problem is in order that the moderators can better respond to your problem.
