Thank you gasbuddy... It does satisfy my inquiry.
F.Y.I. the gas buddy users that I mentioned, like myself use Android phone's, and rarely log on from a computer. I have been updating prices anonymously for over a year now, but until recently never seen a reason to become a member.
Thanks again.

That's a good suggestion, Bruce. In the past I have proposed that a new member be automatically sent to the FAQ page the the posting guidelines for their area. They would have to check a box in both areas that states they read and understand each one. Some people will read them and this would alos give GB leverage to toss violators.

Hey scoutmaster, I agree with you that many people would like to have things done for them, but I wouldn't lump everyone into that category. It took a while for me to figure out how things work here, mostly by sorting through various forum topics. I was even reluctant to post prices at first, let alone make changes to the MSL.
There are a number of posts (including those from the mods) listing guidelines, but I can see where a lot of people may not have or want to take the time to read thru them.
I suggest that GB develop a relstively brief set of guidelines that is automatically emailed to new members. The primary focus should be on the proper use of the site, e.g., encouraging people to post, but take care to do it accurately, changes to the MSL, buying tickets to win gas cards with points, and refer members to places on the website where they can get more info on particular topics. I think the website is excellent, but I could have used a "quick start guide" a few months ago.
In fact, I'm going to try to muster up the technical wizardry to copy the last paragraph in the 'suggest improvements' area.

That all takes effort, Gas Buddy, and it appears everyone wants everything done for them.

First, I have updated the name of the gas station from Chevron to Burney Mini Mart in the Master Station List. As a "senior member" (i.e., one with 10,000 or more points), you will be able to make such changes. Simply click on "Gas Prices" on the top row of links, and then click on "Master Station List" an do a simple search for the station you wish to update.
Second, I find it interesting that multiple people tell you that that they've been unable to use their Chevron cards at the station, but none of them, all Gas Buddy members, bother to make the change.
Third, while the change has been made per your desire, this topic would have been better posted on your local discussion category where local Gas Buddy members would be able to assist you (being more familiar with the specific station, and could provide further information about the station than random Gas Buddy members such as me).
I assume you'll provide gas price updates for "Burney Mini Mart" now that the correction has been made.
If this satisfies your concern, DAWells, the moderators should close this topic.
