I just want to vent about an app awards issue...

For the second time I have reach 94% toward level four on the commuter award and once again it has reset itself to zero. The first time I believed I might have missed an afternoon. Yesterday I hit 94% for the second time and this evening, after posting some morning prices and late afternoon prices I decided to check the percentage. Well, it is once again reflect 0% toward level four.

I know, no big deal but it is frustrating.

All better now.

Well, I think I may have figured this out....possibly.

I was traveling when I lost all progress, thinking it may have had something to do with the time zones. My afternoon price update might have been after 12 noon where I was but it was still before noon at home. Only thing I can think of.

When my GPS isn't active I can't even pull up the closest stations, but that only lasts a moment or two.

No worries.

Maybe the GPS wasn't active when reporting the price?

Kind of like going to the carnival and shooting the gun hoping to bust the balloons and win a prize, but (not realizing that the barrel of the gun is slightly tilted and that the sighting mark has been modified) and coming oh so close.

Or trying to throw the darts at the balloon and not realizing that the darts are also bent and the tip has been dulled.

Or trying to throw a bouncing ping pong ball hoping it will land in and stay in a saucer.

Seriously, this is all the more reason to not worry about the awards you can receive that only you will know about. Better, if you're interested in "awards" of a sort is to continually build up your 750 daily points for posting gas prices, knowing that even if you don't get recognition for it, you're helping your fellow Gas Buddy membes be more knowledgeable shoppers.
