The user was banned for a number of compounding issues including inappropriate whiteboard comments, unnecessary comments with prices, and vulgar comments in the forums.
The ban (whether it had been with or without warning, I am not sure) was entirely warranted on our end.
"I would suggest everyone that knew or dealt with habib complain to the mods. People can and are reinstated."
Most generally other user input is not considered under those circumstances.

I guess that's part of a virtual presence. Individuals are created and destroyed with such ease. Some vanish and we never know what happened. If one of us were to meet some real-life tragedy and go away the rest of us never learn what happened. I never did find out what happened to mnelu. Lost interest? Car wreck? Cancer? At least this time we know, not that it makes it any better.
DH; toke on, brother. You will be missed.
Real life is far better than virtual anyway.

I would suggest everyone that knew or dealt with habib complain to the mods. People can and are reinstated. Also there may be other reasons for him being banned that we don't know about in this topic. I pressed "report abuse" on this topic to ask the mods what happened. I suggest anyone that is a friend of habib do the same.

Now, I may not have agreed with him politically, but he didn't strike me as a bad guy. Getting banned for reporting others posting obviously fake gas prices? Huh? What's that about?

It would seem to me the mods should be banning the people posting the fake gas prices. Seeing fake gas prices always pisses me off.

thats how i felt too. We lost our home and he is letting our family live in one of his for free until we get on our feet. I cant believe he is gone from here. I went by his office and he let me read his inbox. They told him absolutely nothing. He had 2 notes over the past couple of days where he spoke to the mods about some of the local members posting completely fake prices and he was getting tired of constantly fixing the posts and asked for their help. Then he was banned the next day.
If I had not seen it with own eyes I would not have believed it. He was right too, because I have seen those very same members posting fake prices. Its terrible
