ZimCity is correct. I assume it's because TC was among the first sites to be adopted.

"GasBuddy was started in the Twin Cities, then expanded to other parts of the mid-west, then went National. They have simply had more time to earn points."
Actually it was started with many of the current domains. The TC, along with Calgary, Chicago, Toronto, Edmonton and OC/LA were the first areas where GB gained critical mass of enough price posters to make the site useful.
The TC market has always been subject to price volatility which may have caused so many of us to contribute and keep contributing.
Plus we're a lot cooler than all the other areas.

As Scrapheap said, that's where the Gas Buddy program started. People there joined before others could and they've maintained their membership and, apparently, their posting of gas prices (the way to earn the most points and, consequently, to remain at the top of the leader board).
On the other hand, and it's NOT said sarcastically, you've been a member for more than 7 years and have 455,000 points out of a possible 2,500,000 points you could have earned. Twin Cities, Minnesota Gas Buddy members apparently and simply contribute more regularly than many others, and have been doing so for a longer time.

I noticed that 100% of the top 100 all time points leaders are from the United States or Canada. Does anyone else think this is odd?
