First, since the last android update, the map has instabilities in it. As mentioned before, the prices do not update as easily/refresh after updating. But the map flags do not appear as easily also. I have noticed pins not being there seemingly "at random" as if the program is deciding which pins to show or not. As you zoom in, others may appear but sometimes the one you are right in front of wanting to post- is not there and it is difficult to get it there... These issues seem to be stemming from the last update whereas you attempted to make the map faster. Secondly, the website itself (does not matter if from app or PC/browser) is getting more erratic accepting prices. I know of several stations where a particular grade of gas is not accepting posts from any source or from different members. Strange behavior where a mid or pre or other grade will not update but the others do... This seems to last for about a week to 10 days then clear itself up... Prices reported by Visitors don't show up on some of the searches. That just leaves the Shell.

I have at least three locations that I reported prices on this weekend. One Sat night and two yesterday, that I received points credit when I reported them, but looking back currently, they are not showing that I or anyone else has reported a price recently. The locations are as follows: Spinx - 2206 N Main St & Concord Ave, Anderson SC (This one is showing up as reported now) Shell - 3808 Clemson Blvd & Brown Rd, Anderson SC(Reported yesterday on way home from church, so about 12:30 pm) QuikTrip - 4123 Clemson Blvd & Anderson Station Dr, Anderson SC (Reported yesterday evening about 7 pm when I filled up.) I don't know if this is coincidence or not, but I updated my GasBuddy App this weekend. If someone can look into this, it would be appreciated. Thanks, Mistr Ed

For clarification: Is this topic (your original post and follow-on replies, in part because this is the "Talk back to us!" discussion category) posted in your capacity as a member (moderator or otherwise) of GasBuddy Organization Inc? Is this topic (your original post and follow-on replies) posted as a general member of Gas Buddy (in the manner that most of are members) and you're separatign your personal opinions from that of the organization (and, thus, why you're not identifying yourself as a moderator)? It seems to take the price but when you check it on the android app or on the web site via a pc it never shows the regular price... Been doing this about a week or two...

Sounds like it may be fixed soon. They did say it could take a day or so for the changes to show up... I hope the map issues get looked at too regarding pins/flags not showing up unless you zoom in way too close...

But where a price just does not take for any member for a specific grade at some stations is another issue. This is happening increasingly more and more... Then the second problem of how map pins appear is a result of the attempt to make the map more usable or faster... I post almost exclusively from the map versus the stations list or the favorites list. But then back to the first problem- if a grade price "field" gets corrupt, you can't post to it from the app or the web site (pc).

Sometimes a price will not be accepted by the system if it is substantially higher than other stations in the area. There are a couple of one-pump, rural stations around here with prices 30 to 50 cents higher than the larger stations. I was able to get one of the Mods to reset the acceptable range for these stations so that I can post them. Those are the only instances I’ve seen of prices not posting properly.
