Fart in a jar.

Really, this is a REALLY old joke from the 1970s when there was a REAL gas crisis!

I slow down, driving like the other fools on the freeway drops my gas mileage.

Plan your errands,. Plan ahead, coast into stop lights. Remember, when you take your foot off gas pedal your fuel consumption drops to idle speed. Avoid jackrabbit starts.

We combine our daily trips, so we use half the gas, keep the tires checked drive below the speed limit. We just don't fill up or go to too many places for now!

Since we are full-timers in an RV we stay longer at each campground. Less travel = less fuel. We also keep tires inflated to the vehicle manufacture's specs. (not what's on the tire)

Car in good shape mechanically and good tire pressure and do the old pulse and glide method coasting up to red lights and try to drive so that you do the least braking and keep the speed down.

Combine trips whenever possible. A warm engine is much more efficient than a cold one.
