Any thoughts on how good Costco gas is? Always cheaper in my neck of the woods!

I just love Costco. They are the only local station still below $2.00 gallon. They have GREAT Ceasar salad & pizza @ the snack bar too.

How can you go wrong!!

I love 100% gasoline(E0). But with the 10% ethanol blend price crash, the price gap between E0 & 10% ethanol blends widened to 25% to 40%. So I joined my wife to buy Costco 10% ethanol blend & immediately took an 8% mpg chop(as all other 10% ethanol blend fuels would do). Outside of the poor mpg, the Costco gas is temporarily OK in my Elantra, tho I don't like it. If the E0/10% ethanol blend price gap once more narrows to 10% to 12%, I will return to burning E0. If Costco would sell 100% gasoline, they would beat all the other E0 stations, handily.

Some of my worst gas mileage has been from Costco in Bellingham, WA. It's probably the ethanol. WA mandates it in all their fuel including 91. It's possible to get 91 in Canada without ethanol.

Buying at Costco brings the cost of fuel down at the expense of driving range.

Seems to work better now that they supposedly add 5x the required detergents. In the past, my truck had consistent issues starting every time I put costco gas in there.

JohnCur said "I see 2 suppliers at my Costco. One seems to supply Exon stations in the area...the other BP"

This does not indicate that the same additives going to those stations are in the Costco fuel. It also is no indicator that any of the fuels are better or not than the others.

I've heard good things about it. I wouldn't call it a great fuel though.

I'll use Costco if the line isn't a mile long when I'm there. Never had a problem with it and they are always one of the cheapest.

I usually buy Costco, unless a neighboring Sams Club or other station is cheaper.

Since I'm paying for membership, I buy it when I shop there.
They have recently boosted the amount of deterrent in the gas too.
They claim they increased it by a factor of 5x.
But the long lines discourage me sometimes.

they enforce safety rules better than any other station if you pull in the wrong way they kill the pumps. Sam's club is going to have a major explosion from a head on collision soon!

Works fine in my car. Never had any problems with fuel quality. You can't argue the savings. The Costco I shop at is ALWAYS $0.03 to $0.05 per liter cheaper than all the other stations in the area. If I only ever bought fuel from them the membership would pay for itself and then some. Figuring if I filled my tank (60L) once a week, every week....

60L x $0.03 = $1.80/tank
$1.80 x 52 fillups (1 per wk) = $93.60
$93.60 - $55.00 membership fee = $38.60

Seems like a no-brainer to me. Thats just fuel savings alone, never mind anything you would be saving by shopping in the store. Yes, I realise that the numbers may fluctuate because you can't ALWAYS buy from your "home station" if you go on a long trip but this would certainly work out for the daily commuter that never leaves town.
