I'm with Houckster in not seeing what the point of the questions are.

If I told you that I bought 15.5 gallons and I drove 330 miles, getting 21.29 miles per gallon, what good does that do? You don't know - and you're not asking - what vehicle I'm driving, whether it's a car or truck, whether it's in city or highway or rural traffic, or what the traffic conditions were.

If you asking about specific vehicles because you might be interested in buying such a vehicle and were asking the question for comparison reasons, the original post might make sense. But how does simple answers to your questions mean anything? Just wonder is all; just wondering.

1 filled the tank on the Volt on 7-7-13, and as of today 7-12-13, it is still on full, computer says 0.0 gallons used. I have driven 168 miles on total electric, using about 25-30 KWH of electricity, which costs about $3.00. $0.00 on gasoline.
cost per mile, 1.7 cents

caddy costs about .20 cents per mile.

that Volt is really great!!

I'm not sure what point there is to this question. A far more interesting question is what percentage of the EPA mileage estimate for the car you have do you get?

For example, today, I filled up with 9.951 gallons after driving 217.5 miles. That yielded 21.8 MPG which is about 131% of the EPA estimate for a 2004 Ford Ranger with 5 spd, 4.0L engine and 4WD.

Filled up the Volt last night, took 3.798 gal for 403 miles. only 106.1 mpg this time. The wife drove outside the 40 miles range too much and used the gas engine.

Miles on 2013 Volt 17,259, since Oct 5, 2012

For the month of June, I used 12.75 gal of gas in 1328 miles. 104.148 MPG
Gas cost for the month, $47.45. Before we got the Volt it was costing between $275- $375 a month for gas....

That car amazes me on mileage.

Just my 3rd fill on my new 2013 Ford Focus ST. Did 301 miles, city. Filled with 11.04 gallons, 27.26 mpg's. The trip computer is looking like I'll be in the 29 - 30 range on the next fill. I'm happy with that. My F-250 doesn't do half that.

On a regular basis where I drive my econo in the city, I get 28-34 MPG. That depends on traffic, better mileage is on early or late in the days because T... lights hold green longer intervals. Also less motorists going for left turns, by braking/changing lanes suddenly, ETC.

Simply those unexpected actions causes braking to consume more fuel on the average. I drive with a wide margin of distance behind to prevent sudden braking, that works 85% of the time, still over zealous drivers will fill those gaps (weavers, sigg/saggers) UH HUH! That's normal, judging the brake lights action ahead.........

Being I keep one half tank or less I don't always track my mileage and usually buy $15.-$20. at a time the gals. vary, pricing changes on any Whims........ like WHATS.....? Driving mileage is Depends......?
