I leave for work early in the morning (5:15) and sometimes "roll" through the neighborhood Stop signs for convenience and to save a little time and fuel. I know I should come to a complete stop, but was wondering if anyone else does this?

On a good day, maybe 5% of the people I see come to a complete stop.

I do it to save time. But, I slow down to almost stopped, but not to 100% stopped, momentum zero, count to three. That's just wasting time and slowing down traffic.

Probably at least 30 million+ on a good day, statewide. Full stops take a full second or(2 quick snaps of the fingers) maybe if you have slow thoughts, then take 3 snaps for the officer that is watching you fingers snap/brake lights/vehicle motion(not)! He might have Slow thoughts.... and this could get into "Rocket Science" interview before long.......... or possible stop sign cameras.......like Click Click, No.... but Flash flash = Quietly! = (lost revenue)in hold, waiting?

Funny but Shoplifting seem to have taken away the trend to observe Stop Sign violate-ERS........ Maybe parking lot vehicle damages, red light altercations, bump me-ees, like "sell your text phone and get your brakes fixed" Please! Enjoy driving! for a change, wear Florescent, get noticed! Save fuel. A texting moment is too long of a stop..... Wastes Fuel!!!!!

That's a hefty ticket/fine. But when I'm out the door at 4:30 a.m., not many cars are out and patrol is light--maybe, after looking to my right and left and behind me.

AT LEAST 90% of the drivers I see on a daily basis don't stop. I guess the other 10% are the ones saying they do stop are posting here.

I just think that "rolling a stop" is more of a todays trend, not mainly for the thought of saving fuel. Just like the driving thought of well "everybody" drives at least 5 MPH above the posted limits, like I know you do too!

Then most vehicles are automatics and they just want to creep away anytime that the brake peddle isn't held down, so the thought of creeping a right turn, or creeping a clear visual stop at 1-1.5 MPH @ idle rpms, then isn't a big boo-boo when driving on ones way...... "Really".....

So the problem of Boo Boos lies on the other traffic which commonly is driving 5 or more mph. above the zones approaching the stop in question. So this being a good possibility because it logically then seems a very large percentage of motorists do, a "Big Do"... Drive over the limits, very commonly do today as a trend. But a very "Big But" and then But of course...., Always....,!!! They....(same drivers) always make a complete Stop at the Stop signs (automatics) HMmmmm I'm convinced!

I am too fearful of accidents. If I can discipline myself to speed up and slow down gradually, my mpg will get a nice boost. Also, I hyper mile ;-).

The only time I might roll through a stop sign is in the winter months right after a snow storm and the roads are slick.

Not likely to save anywhere near enough fuel to pay the ticket.
