Sunday morning is great for touring. NO traffic - like a ghost town.
Only thing shaking is the city cops slouched down in their radar speed traps 100 yards down the road from a "Reduce Speed" sign.
I use a Garmin to monitor my speed next to the last know limit for that leg of the trip. You don't get much warning though if you are not watching for signs real close, even when just touring and not in a hurry.

We have eaten out more than the last years of 2010-2013, mainly do to gas prices dropping, still not much travel on the week-ends. Those coupons help our incentives build.

That is no problem for me when I have the time off.
Wife and I was able to enjoy a 214 mile excursion visit to
see our new grand-daughter in Jax'ville, FL.

YS ,since fuel prices have dropped somewhat. I don't think food prices will ever follow along(eating out).

Depends on where we are going. Being retired it is easier and more enjoyable to drive during the week when
traffic is lighter.

Yes but only about 2% more than last year, are recent vehicle gets often 42-46 MPGs on calm warm days A/C on/off, but the extra driving lamps when on if needed drops mileage and so does headwind at highway speeds.

I did enjoy those weekends, mostly for short trips about total of 120 miles on average, now gas prices eat away those fun days, traffic is so determined that its' hard to stay on cruise unless your speeding.

Even my Wife notices this and She refuses to want to go anywhere feeling that one must get into the "race it episode" Seems right laner's are off cruise but on the phones running all different speeds The plus/minuses as they go while the lefts want to push you up to their group speeds and stick there(tense situation driving) I call it "Fast but not Last" but where is "relax" ?.....

Have I ever done it, Yes when nature calls and time becomes a factor and still go back to saving some fuel and don't have to powerwash the bugs piled onto the front vehicle areas. LOL!
