mine were 8 psi less than what's recommended

wife's vehicle triggered the tpms in the morning but as she drove the vehicle, it turned off as the tires "warmed up" they were also ~ 8psi low

The tires on one of my cars seems to vary very little. I checked it this week and three tires were one pound low and one was right on the recommended PSI after not checking them for about three months. The tires on my other car were about three pounds low but this car has a PSI readout for each tire so I was aware of the low PSI from the recent cold snap. Forgot to check the spares though. I've never seen an eight PSI drop though.

Tires don't like to keep a full bladder, unlike a beer drinker?

This is only a hint: If you are driving a vehicle, any vehicle but often possible a minivan and you have a full passengers load and plan to driving quite a few miles highway, when not knowing about your tire pressure after starting journey.

Drivers often realize their loaded vehicles accelerate much slower because of additional weight carried and except that. Well tire pressure sometimes go unnoticed too late after starting out.

The hint is when you come up to a stop on Level Roadway, just take notice if your vehicle is slowing quicker than usual because extra total vehicle weight would normally cause it to keep momentum going farther not slowing quicker, slowing after the engine power is reduced(completely off the Go Pedal, and just decelling Really! (when not braking) CHECK.....

That is a good sign that your tires possibly and maybe more than one is under excess strain, causing more destructive Tire Heat and mileage fuel loss.

The Hint is >>> YOU can Test This from the drivers seat if you get my Drift.... Often Side Sway Stability is more affected also on top heavy vehicles such as tall vans ,because the center-line of gravity is higher in relation to the road surface(most vans) then with low inflated tires have sway/safety issues, same for loaded trailers (plus bad loaded locations) within the trailer bed.

Yes, its that time again. I had to put air in my tires yesterday. Usually when the first cold snap hits, it zaps the air out of my tires. The TPMS light came on, so I knew to head for the air pump. Thankfully we still have a station with free air. There is nothing like paying for air, having the time run out before getting all your tire filled.

I believe I saw more vehicles out and about with more low running tires than all of the month of October. Saw two vehicles that way with low profile tires running extremely under inflated. Traffic was so heavy I couldn't get the drivers attention. Needed a sign on a stick to wave out my window "nerd style"!... U'r Tire Ezz LO***!

Just yesterday I noticed a neighbor van's R/F tire looked low, I mentioned it, they had extra time, I gauged it with a good dial type. The tire was down to 15#. Also mentioned that tire was costing her at least 6+ MPG. loss to her driving costs., plus risking a severe total tire loss and putting an extra strain on the vehicles differential gearing.

I aired up that tire to 36lbs along with the other three running about 3# low on warm tires, so the total % cost was even more of a loss than the 6+ lbs. original loss noticed

It simply pays off to just look at ones vehicle each day and compare the visual when the vehicle is resting on good pavement. Compare each tire against each other at the bottom contact area. that bulge shouldn't be excessive, a bulge=bulge that's OK, Bulgeeeee is worth a check, Your $$'s !

Been doing the tire pressure checks, now for the cold battery voltage check, thermostat is still doing its thing OK, maybe check the coolant for freeze prevention, already got the windshield wash fluid for Winter, next the cabin filter, battery connects look good but need an acid level check.

Door hinges/positioners lubed and jams/catches/latches, maybe silicone the seals to prevent a frozen shut door, maybe a portable garage would help...
