The federal gas tax has not been changed since the early 90's at 18.4 for gas and 24.4 for diesel. This rate has been effect for close to 20 years. Price fixing doesn't work because almost everything that available for sale is an international commodity and most of what we have in the stores is imported. WHen you fix one price, then something else has to give and before long you're having to fix that to, and then before long, something else has to be dealt with. The best thing that can happen is for people to drive more efficient vehicles.

Once they start freezing one price, they ultimately will freeze another, and another, and another, and eventually they come around to freezing the prices of your business (affecting your livelihood).

No it wasn't that diesel U.. stuff addtive.
