No. I never believed that E85 was anything more than a scam. It's now known that it isn't the green fuel that we were originally told it would be.

2001 Century. It runs on E-85. But the "check engine" light comes on. O2 sensor error.

I make a E-40 mix and get 1mpg more than E-0. Which also means I get $.02 better mpd (miles per dollar).

Yes, but I never use it. E85 may be cheaper but the fuel mileage is terrible. In the long run you end up spending more money if you use E85 consistently.

No but a lot of the hot rodders are starting to run hopped up cars on E85 because it is resistant to detonation due to the 85% ethanol composition and it is far cheaper than race gasoline.

The new one is rated for it. Ran one tank to see how it did. Lousy milage. But nice to have the option in case of a shortage.

Owned one of the first FlexFuel vehicles, a 2001 GMC Sonoma. Never used E85 because it cost too much for too poor of MPG.
