They are a nice addition, much info can be determined at a glance, and my right foot habit training existed before this feature(FEG) came about. I mainly can tell about how the wind direction affects my mileage doing highway travel. Also the % of up-grade or down grades usually does and how much/often those affects the fuel used up.

Some larger V/6 and V/8s don't always down-shift(automatics)unlike a 4 cylinder engine power-plant does with cruise control on for small hills, but the cruise can hammer the go pedal causing poorer mileage because of the greater larger engine's torque band which goes unnoticed(no down-shifts) on smaller hills.

Often unnoticed the C.. Control will then cause more fuel use than if when turned off, larger engines have the greater torque advantage when in high gear/with increased load resistance. Even so the increased fuel amounts gets used. Like "Go after that Hill Mr.Cruise system".... Well Done!@ a cost!

I'm surprised that there are two threads with this exact same title. Why?

2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT Hatchback - Yes
2011 Toyota Matrix (Base) - No
2010 Ford Ranger XL - No

It definitely is a nice feature and informs you when traffic conditions worsen your gas mileage or when you're driving too aggressively.

Yes - it is standard equipment on the 2014.5 Toyota Camry L.

Previous models had only instant MPG. Now you get tank MPG and history.

My Navigator does but my Escort does not. I use a bluetooth OBD II adapter and an app called Torque on my phone for real-time data in the wagon when I feel like I should. Usually that's just after performing a repair to be sure I did it right or if I feel like something is amiss.
