Did you know that by simply waxing your car you can gain about 2 miles per gallon more. Is it just me or is it true, what do you think

No! I did not know that waxing helps gas mileage. I don't believe it is true but I will try it during the spring to see if I see a difference. It is too cool here in NC to wax my vehicle.

no, and I seriously doubt there's a measurable increase in mileage.

Waxing will have zero affect on mileage. It will have a large affect on smileage.

I wax it to keep it looking good, I don't think it helps with MPG.

I don't seriously believe there's a measurable difference.
Air friction isn't that much, that there'd be a difference if the vehicle was waxed.

I don't see how. The reason being is the benefits of turbulent air flow. I can't remember which one, BMW or Mercedes Benz, filed a patent for putting dimples all over the panels underneath a vehicle. The idea is that the dimples will create a turbulent air flow boundary, making air flow under a vehicle more efficient, at least in theory.

If it wasn't for the appearance of a vehicle, it wouldn't shock me to see vehicle with dimples all over. In theory, it could dramatic increase the fuel economy.

More grammar issues:

"Do you wax your car regularly to get More MPG's?"

Corrected: Do you wax your car regularly to get more M.P.G.s?

Fixes lowercase M in more and abbreviation should have all capitalized letters with a period after each letter indicating it was shortened. There is no apostrophe, either. Apostrophes are used to show possession, not plurality. Just an s is needed.

Maybe wax the tires/wheels, they travel in a high speed circles when in highway motion. Maybe waxed dimpled surface tires would help higher speed mileage (golf ball style) surface/waxed? ! ! ( M/B tests!).... HMmmm....

Mythbusters on Discovery channel tested weather a clean / waxed car or dirty car gets better mpg a few years back. The dirty car won.

That logic is flawed. If true, then I get 2mpg extra while idling. LOL
