Never had to replace a gas tank Both of my vehicles still have the original gas tank. What does this question have to do with fuel economy?

Longest time a gas tank has ever lasted for me was the life of the vehicle.

OTOH I fueled the SUV this weekend for the 2nd time since Christmas.

I have never replaced a gas tank. As far as how long a tank of fuel has lasted, I have made it over 4 months without filling up. Granted I was deployed overseas and my vehicle sat.
