3.8L engine worst around 12 mpg and best to aroubd 16 mpg

I had a 1976 Cadillac Sedan De Ville back in the 80's and would get 9-10 mpg around town and 12-14 mpg on the highway. It had the 500ci engine. I think the fuel tank held 28 gallons.

I drive a ML320 CDI 4x4 and the worst mileage so far on a tank of fuel was 20.9 MPG. That was city driving all the way.
