1995 GMC 2500HD (HD meaning the 8600 lb GVWR 8 lug wheel spec. , compared to the 7200 lb 6 lug spec.) regular cab long bed.
6.5L diesel 5 speed manual 2wd. half ton pickup air dam, and alloy wheels with factory tire size. first for aerodynamics, second for weight savings.
closing in on 150,000 miles.
gets over 20 mpg empty,
15 with an empty gooseneck,
and 10-12 mpg with a loaded gooseneck.

bare truck weighs a tick over 5,000 lbs, same with trailer, so together they weigh under 11,000. my heaviest load so far is 18,600 lbs total weight, so only a 4 ton load roughly.

also have a 1993 Chevy K2500HD Ext. cab long bed. 6.5L diesel 5 speed manual 4 wheel drive. in pristine condition, bought new in arizona by the previous owner.

255,000 miles. alloy wheels added, but stuck with the 265/75R16s that came on it, one size bigger than factory.

10-12 mpg towing, and with a combination of 4 wheel drive and more restrictive turbo, it only gets like 15.5 mpg empty. I hate 4wd. :)

2012 Ford Fiesta SE Sedan with "powershift" and 1.6 engine. Mixed driving; 42 mpg
city; 36 mpg
winter; avg 36 mpg
high; 50 mpg
best trip; 45.5 mpg in ideal weather with no A/C, trip to Oshkosh with speeds ranging from 55 to 75 mph.

Traded in; 2002 Toyota Prius which averaged for us 46 mpg in mixed, and only 26 mpg in the winter. They don't tell you how much hybrids hate cold weather and how ridiculously expensive repairs can be once they are out of warranty! $2000.oo for a power brake booster??? Myth; hybrid battery does not cost $3000.oo to replace, they usually replace a cell or two for about $10 each. At 130,000 miles the hybrid battery on the Prius was still healthy. Other problems made it not cost effective and didn't save us any money, problems like the brake booster. NEVER own a hybrid car that is out of warranty! Oh, and never ever put a hybrid in Nuetral, they don't like it.

just to lower the average; 2000 Excursion, 2wd, V10. Just back from 4 days in Corvallis Oregon and got 13.7mpg on the trip back. Didn't check on the way up since I never actually filled the truck, gas rewards shut off the fill at 25 gals and since I'd rather have the discount instead of the mpg calc, I just wait until it gets back to 1/4 tank, where it takes about 26 to 27 gals. Hauled three large dogs and gear for agility trials on four days, as well as having room for one driver to lay down and catch a nap in the back, love the Excursion.

I have a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Track and it gets the worse mileage of any car I have ever owned. 11-12 in the city and 16-18 hwy. I would trade it in but it is paid for and I only drive about 15 miles a day
